PRENATAL AND POSTPARTUM PHYSICAL THERAPY

As mothers, we understand the immense physical and emotional strain placed on the body during pregnancy and birth. We founded the practice to better serve folks trying to conceive, are currently pregnant, and have birthed. We strive to optimize care during these periods, advancing the healthcare experience to be more personalized and supportive. We believe pelvic physical therapy should be standard care during pregnancy and postpartum, improving birth and postpartum recovery outcomes.

Although pelvic pain and incontinence may be common during and after pregnancy, they are NOT normal! Pelvic floor rehabilitation is much more than just a Kegel exercise. Every woman should learn to properly reconnect their core with their floor after the significant body changes that occur during pregnancy, labor and delivery!

Common conditions treated (but not limited to) include:

  • Pelvic girdle pain: pubic symphysis dysfunction, sacroiliac pain, coccyx pain
  • Diastasis recti abdominis (DRA) rehabilitation and prevention
  • Pelvic floor dysfunction, strengthening, and prevention
  • Postpartum pain and weakness
  • Back and hip strengthening
  • Upper back and neck pain
  • Preparation for labor and delivery
  • Cesearian section scar pain and mobilization
  • Perineal scar/episiotomy scar pain and mobilization
  • Urinary incontinence
  • Fecal incontinence
  • Prolapse
  • Difficulty connecting to core
  • Sexual dysfunction
